I’m Meg, a female member.
I bring a small gift every time.
Usually, it’s food—cookies, rice crackers, or something he can finish on his own. If I’ve been traveling, I’ll bring back a local specialty from wherever I went.
My papa (a male supporter) also prepares something for me each time.
Once you know what they like, it’s easier to choose a suitable gift, isn’t it?

If anything, I’d rather not receive souvenirs. When I was working as a salaried employee, I hated getting cheap snacks from coworkers returning from trips, even when they were just being polite. It was a hassle feeling like I had to give something back or worry about proper etiquette.
That said, there are times when I give a woman a little gift myself. Even then, I make sure to ask in advance, “I have these snacks—would you like some?”

I think bringing a small gift would make a good impression. However, bulky items or things that linger may not be appreciated, so something small and consumable would probably be best.
Of course, it depends on the other person’s preferences, but it’s the thought that counts more than what’s inside. Even if it’s inexpensive, I feel it’s nice to wrap it and give it to them.
