What inspired the names you answer under? I love reading this site—it’s one of my favorite things to do before bed. Thank you, as always. I know it’s a bit late to ask, but I’ve been wondering: why did you choose those names? I’d love to know. Thank you ⭐︎

I’m the column writer Flag Maker. This question brings back memories(笑) Sorry, but most of this is almost a copy-paste of my previous answer. At first, I always answered under the name “30s, New Member,” and I felt embarrassed about suddenly switching to a handle halfway through. One reason I applied to become a column writer was that I wanted to answer under a simple handle rather than “30s, New Member.” The name Flag Maker came from some relationship advice I gave to a junior colleague: “If you don’t have the courage to confess all at once, set up a flag that can lead to something later. Something that lets you say afterward, ‘When I said ○○ before, it was because I’d already started liking you around then,’ or ‘I did ○○ for you back then because you were already important to me.’ I’ve set up flags like this in the past and followed through on them this way… And more recently, I set up this kind of flag and plan to follow through on it like this…” They replied, “You’re kind of a flag maker, aren’t you, senpai?(笑)” And that’s where the name came from. ※Here, “flag” is a term used in the stories of movies, dramas, manga, anime, and games to refer to something that later leads to a specific development or situation. It’s almost synonymous with “foreshadowing.” Also, I’m a pro-wrestling fan, and I liked how “Flag Maker” sounds similar to Kazuchika Okada’s “Rainmaker.”

I’m Fullerene, a male member! For a while after joining Universe, I got rejected a lot, so I chose this name in hopes of not getting turned down anymore. I feel like introducing myself by this name may actually be working, lol. It’s also the name of a soccer ball-shaped molecule made of carbon. You see it in cosmetics these days too, right?
