I played softball intensely when I was a student, so even now people often tell me I have a rather androgynous look. I’ve always wanted to develop a more feminine side. I’m making an effort by growing my hair out and wearing skirts, but it’s really difficult to project a genuinely cute, feminine charm. Could you give me some specific examples of what makes someone seem feminine? What features do you find feminine, cute, alluring, or captivating—and what does it mean to be seductive? I always learn a lot from everyone’s answers. I would really appreciate your advice.

Universe Tokyo’s Mamiya here. I’m proud to say that softball players are good people, so I couldn’t resist replying! I actually spent 13 years devoted to softball myself. Even now, I have absolutely no feminine vibe. I think an androgynous look is very attractive! You don’t have to play the kind of woman people expect you to be—or one you can’t picture yourself as. I’m not good with overly cute styles either. Women’s fashion is so diverse, so it’s best to find your own style rather than simply follow trends. For a mature, sexy look, I’d recommend a more mannish style than a feminine one—Ralph Lauren is a great example. Instead of a floaty skirt, a fitted, stylish one can work really well too. As for sizing, try wearing clothes one size smaller than you normally would to show your figure. Also, if you’re not confident about choosing colors, ask a store employee or a stylish friend to help you pick something so your outfit doesn’t look too subdued. You could also go shopping with your papa (a male supporter), which would be a great opportunity to learn what men like. Good luck!

I’m a male member, Fullerene! You seem worried that you come across as somewhat androgynous, but whether your hair is short or you wear pants, your femininity will always shine through somehow. You really are sexy enough as you are, so don’t worry. That aside, the fact that you’re thinking, “How can I become more feminine?” is the most girlish thing about you. Keep doing your best. If I had to give just one example of what I find attractive, it would be “eyes with dilated pupils, glistening with moisture.”

I’m Maezawa from the President’s Office, and I’ll answer as well. Thank you for your question. I think the definition of femininity has gradually changed with the times. For example, the old idea that women should walk three steps behind men is hardly considered proper etiquette these days. Nowadays, I think it’s more natural for a woman to walk alongside a man. That said, men probably still appreciate that mindset. Rather than literally walking three steps behind him, if you always keep that feeling in mind, it will naturally come through in the way you respond and carry yourself. In that sense, I think women who have that attitude may come across as feminine. There are also things like sitting with your knees together—since sitting with your legs apart was once considered uncouth—and various other little manners. It might be a good idea to start by being conscious of those things. As for being a sensual woman, that’s more difficult to define because body type also comes into play. But I think there are times when someone seems sensual simply because of the way she walks or moves.

I’m Marika. If you’ve played softball for a long time and all your friends are also very straightforward and no-nonsense, it must be pretty difficult to change those deeply ingrained mannerisms and ways of speaking. I’m not one to talk, since I’m also quite no-nonsense myself, but I make up for it with my natural sexiness—or so I’d like to think. When I was in my twenties—about 20 years ago now!—I went with my boss to a club where women sat beside the guests and entertained them. It wasn’t a cabaret club. The way the women moved and sat, the way they covered their mouths when they laughed, how they held their glasses, and the gesture of placing a handkerchief over their short skirts—all of it was the very embodiment of femininity. Back then, many men smoked, and whenever someone reached for a cigarette, a lighter would appear instantly. They were always one step ahead, incredibly attentive. Of course, you could say that’s only natural since it was their job, but even if I were asked to do that professionally, I don’t think I could. I don’t think everyone needs to become like a hostess, but I do think they can be a good reference when it comes to acting feminine.

I’m Kazu, a male member. I feel a woman’s femininity when she’s having sex and reaches orgasm over and over again. That’s something men don’t experience, and I can’t help feeling envious. When she’s climaxing repeatedly, furrowing her brow and eventually able to say nothing but “That feels so good,” I find it incredibly sensual. I love the curve from a woman’s waist down to her hips and buttocks. I get turned on when she’s giving me oral sex or when I’m penetrating her from behind. As for other body parts, I also love the nape of a woman’s neck. When I’ve undressed her and lean in close to her neck, I feel grateful to be alive. Seeing a woman in lingerie that suits her—especially black lingerie—also really gets to me. Outside of sex, I find it very feminine when women call some middle-aged guy “cute.” I think that’s a privilege unique to women.
