A question for everyone about women’s periods!
I feel a little uncomfortable saying outright that I’m on my period, so I sometimes say, “The moon isn’t in a good mood…”
Do you think people understand what I mean???
Also, are there any other ways to say it more indirectly???

Yes, I understand what you mean.
I’m not sure why, but when someone says something out of the ordinary, it might click like, “Oh, I see.”
Even if it were something completely unrelated—for example:
“William Tell came by today…”
I feel like the meaning would still get across.

I avoid direct expressions, using phrases like “Is it that time of the month?” or “Are you expecting a monthly visitor?” instead.

I have a client who comes to see me once a month.
Women from my generation may understand what I mean, but it would be helpful if men understood it too.
That’s how I explained it to him at the beginning of our relationship.

As another way of putting it, I’ve heard people say “that time of the month.”
