I’ve met a few women I’m physically compatible with, but I haven’t been able to find someone I click with emotionally. Is it generally easier to connect emotionally with someone closer to my age? I’ve never made an offer to anyone in their late 30s or older, so I’m debating whether to give it a try. I’d appreciate any advice.

I’m Tetsu, a male member. I don’t think age has much to do with whether you’re emotionally compatible. There are plenty of people in their 30s who lack consideration, while some people in their 20s are so thoughtful that they make you feel almost self-conscious. You can’t really know whether you’re emotionally compatible with someone until you’ve actually spent time with them. So meeting someone you truly click with through a dating club is probably more a matter of chance.

I’m Date◎Yume, a male member. I know I’ll probably be told not to say this since my sample size is extremely small, but I feel like finding a woman who’s the perfect match in either arrangement is probably difficult. Also, if you ask me, I don’t think age really has much to do with it. As they say, “Seeing is believing.” Maybe it’s worth giving it a try. I’d appreciate it if you could report back on how it goes(笑).

I’m Hikouki, a male member. I don’t think age is necessarily relevant to either kind of compatibility. Mental compatibility in particular seems to depend on individual differences, personality, upbringing, and personal type—whether or not the two people really click and become deeply involved with each other. When I make an offer to someone close to my age, women tend to welcome it, and we have plenty to talk about, which makes things very easy. However, whether it will last or continue to feel exciting seems to be a separate matter. I think it’s best to consider what you’re looking for from the club and make your choice accordingly.

I’m Gaku, a male member. Lately, I’ve been meeting women in their late 30s and older, and I think it’s great in so many ways. That said, I also feel that my regular partners in their teens and 20s are a good match for me, both mentally and physically. So I don’t think age matters that much. If you’ve never made an offer to someone older, I think it’s worth giving it a try.
