DSLR cameras are pretty expensive, so we use them for quite a long time.
Around this spring, we discussed deploying cameras costing about ¥500,000 for the body alone at locations nationwide. However, the total came to ¥870,000 per set—¥500,000 for the body plus ¥370,000 for the lens—and with 16 locations (Tokyo and Osaka would need multiple cameras), that would be ¥13.92 million. So the plan was put on hold.
It was admittedly too expensive, so when we apply for next year’s budget, we plan to request somewhat less expensive equipment instead. (笑)
So, more than the equipment, it comes down to the photographer’s skill. Who will handle the reshoot is actually quite important.
That said, I can’t say who specifically is best, but there are certainly some talented photographers. (笑) It might be a good idea to ask some of the men you’ve met which photographer is good at taking pictures.
Although, in truth, men tend to dislike photographers who are too good at taking photos. (笑) That’s because they might be disappointed when they meet in person.
