I happened to spot the Type B woman I’ve been seeing on another dating club’s site. She says she wants to meet for dinner about four or five times, build trust, and then become intimate, but on that other dating club she’s registered as fully transactional and open to an adult relationship from the very first day (around a C type leaning toward D to a D type by Universe Club’s standards), and apparently she’s even told the staff how much allowance she wants. I’ve also met women of the same type through that dating club, and I’ve never failed to become intimate with them that same day. I realize it’s difficult to make a straightforward comparison with Universe Club since this is a different dating club, but what do you think her motives or way of thinking might be? I’m shocked and wondering if she simply disliked me.

I’m Flag Maker, a column writer. On Uniba, you’re probably looking for someone who isn’t interested in a completely transactional relationship, right? Since the system doesn’t let you use different personas within the same club, do you change your persona for each dating club?

I’m Kazu, a male member. Don’t you find different things to appreciate in each woman you date—for example, one who’s just up for a quick hookup, and another who’s fun to spend time with and also decent in bed? I do. In the same way, maybe women are also trying to meet papas with different relationship styles through different dating clubs.

Maezawa from the president’s office here, answering as well. Thank you for your question. Women can have many different sides. For example, someone who works in the adult entertainment industry may be registered as an A or a B at Universe Club. The reason is that, in that line of work, they can’t always refuse—it’s something they do as a job. But even when money is involved, they may still want a relationship that feels like romance, or they may want to enjoy themselves while retaining the right to say no. Some people feel that way. They may be able to put their feelings aside for money, but they may also want to enjoy themselves with someone they genuinely like. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re looking for a real romantic partner; they may still want an allowance. On the other hand, on an app like Pairs, they may say, “A relationship involving money isn’t for me. I’m looking for a genuine partner.” In other words, some women may be looking for all three: 1. Someone with whom they can set aside their feelings and have a purely physical relationship 2. Someone with whom they can balance feelings and an allowance 3. A romantic partner based solely on feelings In that case, they’re probably looking for different partners in different places. So rather than disliking you, she probably sees you as someone in category ②—someone who will provide an allowance for dinner only. And since you’re currently kind to her even when it’s dinner only, you may have ended up being assigned that role. If you were hurt by the situation either way, why not ask her directly? Something along the lines of: “After dinner today, I’d like us to have an adult relationship (intimate). I like you that much. Would you be willing to do it for an allowance of ___?” I think the key is to offer more than the amount listed at other dating clubs. I’ve heard that the amounts at other dating clubs are often set lower than what the women actually want, supposedly by the staff. Because of that, many women seem dissatisfied, so it may be important to offer more than that amount. If that still doesn’t work, I think it may be best to give up. You could also try registering with another dating club and look for someone there. However, in that case, even if something happens that day, she may stop responding after that.

I’m Meg, a female member. That must have been quite a shock… It probably felt like you’d seen something you weren’t supposed to. But please don’t worry. It wasn’t your fault. She probably has her own reasons and goals. Since you met at Universal Studios and you’d like to keep seeing her, it’s best to turn a blind eye. If that’s too painful, then it may be best to quietly say goodbye.
