I think that’s perfectly natural. Age differences don’t matter in love, but the idea of an older man and a daughter-like girl being romantic partners does feel a little awkward（笑）

Personally, I think it’s perfectly fine to be friends. As long as you maintain a certain level of boundaries while treating each other like friends, I don’t think either of you will feel uncomfortable. In fact, that may feel more natural and help you get to know each other better...
