You can still search by occupation using the free-word search, but since occupations aren’t listed consistently, I understand that it can be difficult.
That’s why I once suggested to a programmer that we could use a fixed occupation-selection system. But then we realized that users would have to choose from a huge list of occupations, which might end up being just as difficult.
It’s not an easy problem to solve.

I had the same thought right after joining.
However, it seems the occupation field isn’t a dropdown menu—women can enter whatever they like. So when searching, you’re limited to using keyword searches.
