I’m Flag Maker, a column writer.
I get it.
I really do.
I totally understand those feelings and the turmoil, lol.
Not too long ago, I was feeling the same way.
If you’re going to be an adult, all you can do is quietly endure.

Thank you for your question.
To be honest, it depends on the length of the relationship and how deep the trust between you is, so it’s difficult to say for sure. Personally, I don’t think anything is ever 100% guaranteed, so for now, I believe all you can do is wait for a reply.
Three weeks is a very long time, so I completely understand how you feel.
I hope you hear back from them.

Maezawa from the President’s Office will answer as well.
Thank you for your question.
I’m having a hard time following you because you seem to be making a lot of assumptions.
> Since we’re based at different branches, it seemed like meeting up would take a lot of time.
I can’t tell whether you actually continued meeting despite the distance, or whether you simply assumed it would be difficult and therefore didn’t meet very often.
> Since we had gone on several dates…
I don’t know what kind of dates you had or how many times you met. If it was something like dinner only twice, I wouldn’t necessarily say that you had gone on “several” dates.
> When I asked the staff during the offer process whether we would be a good match, they said they thought we would be, so I made the offer.
The staff aren’t all-knowing. Even if they think you’ll get along, whether she actually wants to meet you is up to her.
Also, they were only answering whether you seemed compatible from the man’s perspective. They weren’t saying that she would necessarily feel the same way about you.
If she hasn’t replied, she probably decided that continuing things with you would be difficult. I think you should look back at your dates so far and consider what you may need to reflect on.
Something that seems perfectly normal to you may still make a woman think, “That’s not okay.”
Don’t remain stuck in the past—look for someone new. And next time, try to figure out what went wrong and improve whatever you can, so the same thing doesn’t happen again.

For now, just wait patiently without doing anything.
All you can do is trust.
If a miracle happens, she may contact you on her own—for example, by text message to let you know her new ID, after leaving her phone at a travel destination, or once her phone is fixed. If there was a genuine reason she couldn’t get in touch, she may simply reach out as usual.
That said, three weeks is a long time.
Hopefully, she’ll get back in touch.

There’s a way to check whether you’ve been blocked, so check that first.
But since things like what happened with Romane can occur, I think more people probably mute messages and leave them marked unread—even though they still read them—instead of blocking.
It’s a lower psychological hurdle that way, too.

If she hasn’t replied, it’s probably best to just let it go.
As Roma-san wrote, I think most women are put off by that kind of behavior from men. Persistence and refusing to give up may be virtues in business, but when it comes to a woman you met through a dating club, it only gives the impression that trouble is brewing.
The fact that you came to the anonymous question box first instead of charging straight at the staff with that kind of energy shows that you do have some self-restraint. Why not exercise a little more of it?
