Question

Browsing the desktop version now requires an extra step, and it feels harder to navigate. There was also a previous response saying that videos had been switched to portrait mode to fit smartphone screens, so I assume the mobile version will become the mainstream one. However, female members are making an effort to post comments and private photos so they’ll catch men’s attention. On the desktop version, you can immediately tell when someone has added a comment or private photo, but these updates don’t appear at all on the mobile version, do they? I’m sure there are various limitations, but I’d like the features and displays to be standardized. I’ll get told off if I don’t phrase this as a question, so let me ask: why are the desktop and mobile versions different?

I’m Tetsu, a male member. You’re right—the PC version was changed so that you select an area and then click the display button. At first, I thought it might be a hassle too, but being able to select and display multiple areas could also be considered an improvement. Oh, I didn’t actually answer your question. Since you phrased it as a question, I assume you’re asking: “Why are the PC and smartphone versions different?” There’s no particular reason—back when it was built, it was standard to create separate versions for PCs and smartphones.
