Since there’s also a private side to things like that, I can understand why women might hesitate to exchange LINE IDs. That’s why I assumed many women were using LINE and Kakao separately. But these days, maybe more people exchange LINE IDs without worrying about it that much. When a woman showed me her phone screen with 200 unread LINE messages, I realized how much times have changed. It means LINE is no longer the main messaging tool. (Though if you ask me what the main one is now, I’m not really sure.)
