In a normal relationship, I don’t think that would happen. However, when people meet through a dating club, the financial aspect may be part of the relationship from the beginning, so there is a possibility that they could break up over it.
I also think it would depend on whether the two of them had already grown genuinely close and affectionate.
That said, it feels a bit like asking:
“If a papa (a male supporter) who’s wealthy stopped providing support, would the woman leave him?”
