When signing up with Universe, will they ask about pre-existing medical conditions? How serious does a condition have to be before I need to disclose it? I have a congenital condition.

Maezawa from the President’s Office will answer this as well. Thank you for your question. > When registering with Universe, are you asked about any pre-existing medical conditions? Rather than being asked directly, there’s a section on the registration form for you to fill out. If you list anything there, we’ll ask you directly about the situation. Basically, we’d like you to be honest, but it is ultimately self-reported. For conditions that wouldn’t be apparent unless you were a doctor, I feel it may be acceptable not to list them as long as they don’t interfere with your activities. What the club is concerned about is complaints from male members. (笑) For example: “I went on a date and found out she had a large tattoo covering her back. We went to a hotel, but ended up leaving without doing anything. I want my setting fee refunded.” That would be a serious problem. So, as long as it’s something that won’t inconvenience or upset the man in everyday situations, it may be okay. However, as a basic rule, you should disclose it properly. (It could put you at somewhat of a disadvantage, and in some cases, even if you have no problems in daily life, you may not be able to register if you have a disability certificate.) > I have a congenital illness. If there’s any possibility that the man could run into trouble during the date, please disclose it.

I’m Fullerene, a male member! When it comes to things closely related to dating, I once met someone who had cervical dysplasia, a precancerous condition. Since the HPV virus that causes it is transmitted through sexual contact, situations like this can be difficult to navigate. ⇒ If you don’t care about the feedback, though, it might be a usable excuse to turn down an adult relationship, lol. You might worry about saying it during the interview and then getting rejected. Personally, I’d have a better impression of someone who told me upfront.

I’m Marika, a female member. If it might interfere with your relationship and you’d feel more at ease by bringing it up in advance, then I think you should tell him. Otherwise, it should be fine to open up once you’ve gotten closer.
