I assume that most of the male members are married, but do you consider the risks—such as being found out or having to pay compensation—increasing as you take on more partners? For example, if you had five papas and all five were married, wouldn’t that make you nervous?
Or do you take some kind of precautionary measures? I’m still quite inexperienced, so I’d really appreciate any advice.

I don’t think it’s quite that common.
We don’t ask whether someone is married when they join, but my impression is that married members make up less than half.

What matters is whether you knew he was married and whether there was any negligence on your part.
In that case, if you ask the man and keep evidence showing that he explicitly stated, “I’m not married,” you may be more likely to avoid a claim for compensation.
(That only increases the likelihood, so please don’t rely on it too heavily.)
It seems best to explain the situation to the man and ask him to provide such evidence. He’ll probably cooperate, since that’s preferable to being unable to continue seeing each other after dinner.

I think your only options are to keep the relationship limited to dinner-only dates or save up a fair amount of money.
If they hire a private investigator, you’ll almost certainly be found out.
