I’m Marika, one of the female members.
I’m not sure whether she exercises or not, but a slim figure without much muscle would be more like Mirei Kiritani’s.
Someone who’s slim and stylish because she works out would be more like Rola, perhaps?
I prefer the latter, so I exercise, but I’m sure some people prefer a delicate, petite figure.
I agree that your papa (male supporter) should stop making comments about people’s appearances. Whether a woman is overweight or slim, it’s not as though she doesn’t care about her figure.
If you’re asking which type is generally more popular because you want to become more attractive, you’d probably get a better answer from a man.

Thank you for your question.
> What does he mean?
I don’t think it had any particular meaning.
You were so thin—remarkably thin—and when he went to the hotel with you, you were just as thin as he’d expected, which he found remarkable. But he probably couldn’t express that very well.
So maybe it simply turned into something like, “You don’t have any muscle. You don’t exercise, do you?”
I don’t think it meant anything. He just said what came to mind, so I don’t think you need to worry about it.
> I’m worried about how my body looked to him…
He probably meant something like, “She doesn’t have any muscle in her calves. It looks like her bones might break… Is she okay?”
> So I can’t be loved just for being thin?
Of course you can be loved.
I think he was just saying something along the lines of, “Wouldn’t she collapse if she didn’t build up a little more muscle?”
He was probably only concerned about your health.
> Specifically, what are the differences between the bodies of people who exercise and those who don’t?
I don’t think one is necessarily better or worse than the other. It’s probably just that having some muscle looks more natural, while having virtually no muscle can make people worry.
Since he’s only concerned about you, the best thing is not to worry about it.
But if you do want to improve things even a little, simply walking about 10 km every day would make a big difference.
Starting with 10 km would probably be tough, so I think it’s better to begin with around 2 km. However, it seems to me that you won’t really see results until you go beyond 10 km.
If you jog, even 2 km might be enough to see some effect.
> Do men not find women attractive if they don’t have any muscle?
Ordinary people don’t really use the word “moe” that much, though(笑).
Even without much muscle, I still think you can look perfectly good. It might be worth making sure you’re not so thin that your ribs are visibly sticking out.
(That said, there are all kinds of fetishes, so I think people can find distinctive features attractive in anyone.)

I’m in Seattle.
I think everyone has different preferences, both men and women.
Personally, people who are too skinny feel hard and painful.
Why not ask whether they prefer someone to gain a little weight or have a lean, muscular build?

There was a question from a man in a similar situation the other day:

As I said in my answer there, I don’t think someone you’re seeing should assume they can change the other person.
Commenting on someone’s body type is tactless. I think you should simply cut off such a boring papa (a male supporter) and move on(笑)
If he’s a generous (well-paying) papa and you don’t want to let him go, you might consider fulfilling his wishes. In that case, though, I think you should ask him directly what he really meant, rather than relying on what other people say.
I’m attracted to women with healthy to slightly curvy figures. If we’re talking only about body type, I’m not really into slim women.
I’ve long suspected that I have a thing for women with defined abs, so I’m thinking of meeting someone with visible abs to confirm whether that really is my fetish.
