There’s nothing scary about it.
Whether you pass also depends partly on luck.
Even women whose looks seem good enough to qualify for Platinum in a regional area sometimes get rejected.
The same thing can happen even at the same branch.
There’s also an element of luck in which staff member happens to interview you.
For example, some women contact us to say, “My train has stopped, so I’ll be 30 minutes late.” Since the train really did stop, they aren’t treated as late.
However, even if I was originally scheduled to conduct their interview, being 30 minutes late can change the interview assignments, meaning someone else ends up interviewing them instead.
At first glance, when she walked in, I thought, “She’ll pass…”
But after another staff member finished the interview, they sometimes marked her as unsuccessful.
I wondered why, since she looked good, so I asked—and apparently, they felt she had a bad personality.
She had seemed polite and pleasant when she came in, and she didn’t look like someone with a bad personality to me.
Still, whether someone passes or fails can sometimes come down to having—or not having—that little bit of luck.
So please give it a try.
Even if you aren’t confident about your looks, you may get lucky and someone may notice your appeal, allowing you to pass.
Also, some people think they aren’t attractive, even though that’s not actually the case.
(You start to wonder if everyone around them was just exceptionally beautiful.)

So put on your best behavior and show up for the interview. Though you probably shouldn’t overdo it.
I’m Kamihikoki, a male member, and I think almost everyone outside the Tokyo metropolitan area gets accepted, so just go in and take it easy.
If you look like someone who’s probably had a boyfriend before, or someone who might get an offer—or even someone who could possibly get one—I think you’ll pass. (There’s also a standard tier when it comes to the results.) They’re not looking for an exceptionally high level, so don’t stress about it.
