I’m Joe.
I like women who can talk about complicated things. So far, I’ve met three women who were either graduate students or had completed graduate school—one in biology, one in philosophy, and one in electrical engineering. They were all incredibly attractive, and I had them talk about their specialties to their hearts’ content. It was so much fun. How much fun? Enough to make me forget about sex, lol.
That said, the biology girl was also very good at getting my pants off. She’s no longer on the site, but I still get updates on her research. The only downside is that they’re sometimes in English.

I don’t care about someone’s educational background as long as we can communicate well. I feel this question may come from the assumption—though I’m sure there’s no discriminatory intent—that college graduates have more topics to talk about because they’ve studied more than people who finished middle school.
My work has allowed me to meet all kinds of people. I’ve met some truly admirable people who only completed middle school, as well as some hopelessly dull people who graduated from the University of Tokyo or prestigious schools like Keio and Waseda.
The one thing I can say about both types is that people who care too much about educational background—or who flaunt theirs—aren’t particularly impressive as human beings.
Just because someone has studied a lot doesn’t mean they can hold an interesting conversation. In fact, it’s quite common for people who have studied too much to be overly serious and not very fun to talk to.

When talking with someone, you naturally imagine, “They probably have about this much background knowledge on the subject,” and adjust the way you speak accordingly.
It’s not that I’m attracted to someone just because they’re highly educated, but I may find it easier to talk with them.
It’s fun when I can get my point across in fewer words.
That said, I also appreciate it when someone honestly asks about things they don’t understand. And it’s cute when they try to keep up, stretching a little and pretending they understand.
On the other hand, if it looks like they’re just using the usual flattering lines and thinking that’s all it takes to butter me up, I lose interest immediately, lol.

I failed my college entrance exams, so I respect anyone attending a university I’ve even heard of. College entrance exams are incredibly difficult—I just couldn’t make sense of them. Teruyuki Kagawa is amazing.
I choose who to make offers to based on looks, but it’s true that students at top universities are more enjoyable to talk to.

I value looks and personality more than prestigious academic credentials or job titles. That said, I don’t completely disregard education or work history. When those are similar, it’s easier for both people to find things to talk about, so in my experience, there seems to be a higher chance of becoming close.
Many men are relatively highly educated, but I think some also prefer women from different worlds or with different backgrounds. So I don’t think it’s fair to say that highly educated women are overwhelmingly preferred.

> Are there many papas who like highly educated women?
I don’t get the impression that there are particularly many.
If anything, I think they’re in the minority.
> What do you find attractive about a highly educated woman?
As with people who like flight attendants, perhaps the appeal comes from the rarity of meeting someone like that.
There are also plenty of women who are quick and intelligent in conversation, regardless of their educational background.

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member who graduated from a non-prestigious university. I’m not interested in highly educated women and don’t find them attractive at all.
Even so, I’ve met several women who graduated from prestigious universities, and our conversations have really flowed. We clicked well, and we’ve continued to have a good relationship. I don’t know whether it’s just coincidence or if there’s actually a connection.
> Regardless of the university, I consider graduate students and people with graduate degrees highly educated.
I see—that makes sense. They’re one step further along and have more specialized knowledge, too. My son, who’s currently in high school, is already saying he wants to go to graduate school, so I suppose he has a different way of approaching his interests.

True. If someone from that sort of background started bragging about it, I’d be put off too.

I don’t know whether there are many of us. Women with advanced educational backgrounds are often quick-witted, so conversations with them tend to be interesting. I especially like women who are in graduate school, since they’re usually interesting people. Women can be interesting regardless of their educational background, of course, but those women are rare.
After reading Papuwa-san’s answer, I thought I should add something about what “highly educated” means to me.
In my case, hearing that someone went to the University of Tokyo doesn’t automatically make me think they’re highly educated. My reaction is simply that they were good at taking entrance exams. However, I respect people who chose a university because it had a lab researching a topic they wanted to study, regardless of how difficult the entrance exam was. Medical school is in a league of its own at any university, so I consider those graduates highly educated. Regardless of the university, I also consider current or former graduate students highly educated. Come to think of it, I’ve searched the members’ page several times for female members with PhDs, hoping to make them an offer.
> Kamihikōki-san
That’s right. That’s how I think about education and academic background.
Sometimes people proudly tell me, even when I didn’t ask, that they went to a MARCH or Kansai-Kan-Kan-Dōritsu university. Whenever that happens, there’s a mean-spirited, poorly educated male member here who secretly snickers to himself.
