It’s been more than 10 days since my interview, but I haven’t heard anything. Does that mean I didn’t get accepted? They don’t contact you when you’re rejected, right?

Mamiya from Universe Tokyo here. If you haven’t heard from us for more than 10 days, it’s possible that either your application wasn’t accepted or the interviewer hasn’t finished processing your registration. Did you exchange LINE contact information? Sorry for the inconvenience, but we look forward to hearing from you.

Maezawa from the President’s Office here—I’ll answer as well. There’s about a 99% chance you weren’t selected, but there’s also roughly a 1% chance they simply haven’t been able to reach you. One percent of 8,000 people would be 80 people? That does seem like a lot, but somehow I feel there may be about that many. Just to be safe, I recommend contacting the branch where you had your interview and asking them.

I’m Kazu, a male member. Since this site is anonymous, I don’t think the staff can verify what actually happened either. Why not check with the office or branch where you applied for the interview? As an aside, the staff may be busy and occasionally make minor oversights that aren’t serious—for example, forgetting to include a male member’s profile information when contacting a woman about an offer. So the lack of contact may simply have been an oversight. I think the key to enjoying your time at the club is to take things in stride while asking the staff whenever something seems unclear.
