I believe you became available late at night and early in the morning around this past spring. Was there a reason you started accommodating such a wide range of hours?!

Universe Tokyo’s Mamiya here. Among our Tokyo staff, we have a team known as the “experts” who tirelessly reply to emails one after another. They may have been part of that team. I tried working the late-night shift myself, but I took a quick nap at 2 a.m., a break at 3 a.m., and by 4 a.m. I was starting to lose focus. That said, after trying it out, I found that between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., both our male and female members tend to reply quickly, so quite a few dates were arranged right away! Going forward, we’ll continue aiming to provide relaxed, around-the-clock support whenever possible.

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here—I’ll answer as well. Isn’t every company striving to improve its services?

I’m Marika, a female member. If they had discontinued a feature that was convenient because it handled requests late at night and that caused us trouble, I’d understand—but this really seems like a non-issue. Besides, in his answer to the previous question, Mr. Maezawa wrote: “I believe the initiative was intended to prevent nighttime offers from being handled only around noon the following day as much as possible.”
