It’s been almost six months since I registered.

I’m Imai, Chief at Universe Tokyo, and I’d like to answer as well. When I have some room in my schedule, I carefully review the offer status of the female members I’ve personally interviewed. If someone hasn’t received any offers yet or has received very few, I may move her profile higher on the site or personally recommend her to male members, saying things like, “I think Ms. ○○’s qualities would be a perfect match for your preferences, Mr. ●●!” It’s possible that the staff member in charge gave your profile an extra push. We’d be delighted if you would consider accepting the offer positively.

Mamiya from Universe Tokyo here. When you say six months ago, I believe that was around the time COVID was beginning to spread. Everyone has their own point at which they stop worrying about COVID, but she had probably been on your list of people you wanted to make an offer to someday since around then. It seems like a good time, so please go ahead and make the offer—hopefully she’ll accept it.

I’m Kazu, a male member. The reason you suddenly received multiple offers may be that you were featured in the “pickup” section, which places your profile higher in the listings. I imagine the staff want all the female members to feel that registering with Universe was worthwhile by receiving offers, so they sometimes feature women who haven’t received any offers yet. I’ve also occasionally made an offer simply because I felt sorry for someone who had received none and thought, “In that case, I’ll give her a try.” Sometimes the class you’re registered under is changed at the same time. Since the setting fee is determined by class, a woman whom I might have decided not to approach at one fee may become more likely to receive offers if her class is lowered and the cost becomes more accessible. I often see women worrying about what class they’re in, but being in the Black class isn’t automatically better. Black-class women are surely wonderful in their own way, but men may feel that Gold is better for a casual, long-term arrangement, for example. Their perspectives aren’t all the same. Some people may think that everyone should simply be treated equally. But then offers would become concentrated on certain women, and those who received too many offers would likely get fed up and quit soon. Standard- and Gold-class women might receive even fewer offers than they do now. When I think about it that way, I feel that the class and setting-fee system is actually very well designed.

I’m だて◎ゆめ, a male member. I’ve heard that dating activity tends to pick up during the summer. Since summer temperatures have been rising abnormally lately, perhaps the men are becoming unusually active too（笑） Also, because of COVID, some women may have stopped dating or left the club. Maybe someone they liked before but couldn’t make an offer to is available now? Or, as mentioned in a previous question, perhaps they made money in the stock market or received a large bonus thanks to a special business boom? In any case, I think it may simply be that the circumstances of the men making offers have changed.

Maezawa from the President’s Office here. Basically, the number of offers tends to increase during the summer. Men usually check the newly registered women first. But if they don’t find anyone they like among the newcomers, they’ll start looking through the older pages as well. They may browse as far back as page 10 or 15—pages they normally wouldn’t look at. That’s when they might think, “Wait, why is someone I really like hiding all the way back here?” and send an offer. There are also women who seem to be the eternal second choice. They’re always considered as candidates, but the man ends up arranging dates with his first choice, so they never receive an offer. You might think, “If she’s the second choice, wouldn’t she be next in line?” But the next time, another appealing woman may appear among the new registrations, leaving her in second place again. However, if there aren’t any attractive newcomers, these women can properly become the first choice. Sometimes that may happen six months later.
