Can retaking my photos get me a higher ranking??

Universe Tokyo’s Mami here. I do think it’s possible for someone’s class to be upgraded after a reshoot. The person needs to have strong potential to begin with, and there needs to be some dramatic change in their appearance that makes them more appealing for papa-katsu. It doesn’t necessarily mean that a surgically enhanced look is better. Achieving a more natural, luminous look is actually very difficult. Some women have enough potential that simply visiting a hair salon before coming in can make a significant difference. Improving one’s personality alone would not result in a class upgrade. It also comes down to compatibility with the photography staff. I hope you find a highly skilled producer who can bring out your smile and figure, offer a variety of backgrounds, and advise you on outfits.

Maezawa from the President’s Office here, answering your question as well. Class upgrades are rarely given. That said, when we see someone come in for a reshoot, there are times when we think: “Wait, she’s in the ○○ class?” “Wouldn’t she be better suited for the next class up?” That’s when a class upgrade may be granted. I imagine she must have made a good impression on one of the men she’s met so far.

I’m Kamihikoki, a male member. The two people I’m currently seeing have both moved up a class. One of them even had a comment at her reshoot suggesting she might move up another level.
