I’m a woman in my 20s and a fan of the anonymous question box.

This content is machine-translated.
There’s sometimes criticism that the answerers are just cozying up to one another, but I find it entertaining to see everyone having fun—including imagining the relationships between the different answerers! Are there any answerers you particularly respect, thinking, “This person’s answers are really interesting!”? Personally, among the men, I’m always happy when Shunka Shuto (I used to read his columns!) or Flag Maker answers, and among the women, Romane or Marika. I’d love to hear from any of the answerers who feel like responding! I’m also a big fan of the men’s columns, so I’d be especially happy to hear from Shunka Shuto, Flag Maker, Mac, Joe, Saito, or Ren! However… I’m sorry, but I’m not very comfortable with the male member who claims to be “limitlessly on the women’s side,” so I’d appreciate it if he could refrain from answering this question. He may have been pleased by kind Papuwa’s polite social gesture, but especially in his recent answers, there have been many expressions that make me wonder whether he’s making fun of women, as well as ways of phrasing things that suggest his own answers are universally correct. It was reassuring, as a fellow female member, to see Romane and Rin express their discomfort in an answer to another question (I’m sorry if I’m reading too much into it!). I’m looking forward to everyone’s answers! Thank you! (*^ ^*)

I’m Saito, a columnist♪ Thank you for nominating me. Lately, I’ve been thinking that maybe I don’t really need to comment anymore. Also, since I’ve never actually met anyone, I’ve simply been enjoying browsing the anonymous question box as a reader. lol It feels like meeting someone might change something… and then… I thought it might be interesting if there were people who just stayed that way. But even though we’ve never met, people like Mac-san say things such as, “Let’s spend 10 million yen on meals together,” so I find myself thinking, “This is kind of hilarious.” I’m enjoying it that way, but it also makes me think that the women who get offered things like that must be having fun too. P.S. I was seeing some female members, and two of them asked me: “Are you the person from the dinner gathering mentioned in your column? I couldn’t make it because the timing didn’t work out, but I’ve been really curious about you ever since.” Lately, because of COVID, I often part ways with people after dinner only, but it feels like both C and B have become part of the same package. When that happens, I often find myself laughing at B’s thoughtfulness, and it’s become a source of amusing stories. lol It makes me feel that I should take even better care of the women in C.

Joe, reliably coming in after the fact again. I’m not entirely sure what the questioner intended, but surely you weren’t leaving Mac out. Joe believes in “quality being proportional to quantity,” and Mac has an overwhelming output as both a columnist and an answerer. And I may get asked, “Who are you to say that?” but lately I feel that Mac’s answers have become not only more prolific, but also razor-sharp and on a whole different level. One reason Joe always answers late is that I’m too scared to post until I’ve read Mac’s answer first. Romane gave me some unexpected and excessively generous praise. Maybe this is what people call “killing someone with compliments,” but Joe is easy on himself and will keep climbing as high as people are willing to praise him, so I’ll gladly accept it. Thank you. This may sound tacked on(笑), but as everyone has said, Romane is the standout among the female answerers. Joe thinks Romane’s appeal lies in her sheer volume of writing as well. And Romane’s words really hit me below the belt(笑). The expression that worked best on me this time was “achishi” in “my bad habit.” Older guys must be weak to that sort of thing. What a killer of old men! (Of course, that’s a compliment.) Several offers have apparently been made to Romane through this forum, and I can totally understand why. Romane seems a little intimidated?, so Joe has been hesitant to make an offer himself, though. Another answerer I like is Meg. Her charm lies in the balance between her cute way of speaking and her sharp tongue—and yes, she hits me below the belt too. Oh, right—when will Papuwa’s column be posted? I’m waiting with bated breath. P.S. I forgot someone important. Not an answerer, but A, who used to leave frequent comments on Joe’s and Mac’s columns, is Joe’s top pick. I wonder if they’ll ever come back.

I’m Marika, a female member. I’m flattered that you mentioned me by name. I’ve always liked Papuwa’s and Romane’s answers. They’re both young, yet so distinctive and strong-minded. Honestly, their ideas and phrasing are things I’d never come up with myself, and I’m always impressed. They’re quite a bit younger than me, but I really respect them. Among the male answerers, there’s Saito, who appears almost like a decisive voice from on high—or maybe a voice from heaven?♪ And Sozetsu is great too! I’m keeping it a secret that, long before I ever became an answerer, I once challenged him in the question box with something like, “Who decided that’s the going rate? I’m getting more than that, so it’s actually inconvenient for me!” There aren’t many female answerers in their twenties, so the balance is a little off. Why don’t you try answering questions too?

Maezawa from the President’s Office here as well. There have been all kinds of answers, so I’m grateful to everyone who has taken the time to respond. The ones that especially stand out to me are: - Joe’s distinctive writing style - Mac’s answers based on his many experiences - Romane’s sharp answers that get to the heart of the matter That said, everyone has been contributing, so even if your name isn’t listed above, I’ve been reading your answers thinking they’re all great. Wait a minute… “You’re sometimes criticized for being too chummy with one another, but I think it’s fun to see everyone enjoying themselves—including imagining the relationships between the different answerers!” The fact that someone went out of their way to write that makes me wonder: “My name isn’t among the people they hold in high regard. Why? I didn’t think they were that kind of person.” Could this be a conspiracy by an evil organization trying to divide the answerers? If so, it’s an impressive conspiracy. (笑) P.S. > So you’ve moved from the Corporate Planning Office to the President’s Office. > That’s amazing!!! Amazing!!! There’s also a rumor that it’s just the name changing: President’s Office → Corporate Planning Office → President’s Office (笑) Still, it makes me happy when people say it’s amazing. Thank you.

I’m Rin, a female member. Before registering, I read through the columns and Q&A section and worked through my questions and concerns one by one. That’s how I became one of the people answering, so I basically enjoy reading everyone else’s responses. Why not freely reveal sides of yourself that you can’t show in the real world, and share stories that other people might find disturbing—or perhaps enviable? The anonymity is what makes it possible to let things out safely. Personally, although I haven’t seen him around lately, I’d say the “intense papa” guy. He’s around my age, and he never wavers. He doesn’t pander to anyone. Even his short comments on Twitter are refreshingly blunt. I wish he’d tear into things even more. Yesterday, I was at our usual meeting place with a papa who isn’t much older than me. There was another papa who looked like he was meeting someone for the first time, along with two young women. There was also a group of young girls nearby. Watching from a distance, you could tell immediately who was there for what—and the whole atmosphere changed. I thought it would be interesting if a male member who could bluntly cut through that kind of reality, while including a bit of self-reflection, became one of the answerers. I wonder if he’d get completely shut out, though. I can’t exactly give impressive answers myself, but because of my personality and my work, my emotions don’t fluctuate all that much. So I’d like to keep finding time to answer questions, as always—even if people think my responses are boring. Romane, I completely agree. (Honestly, you’re someone I’d really like to talk with in person.) Even I, someone who hardly ever gets angry, felt that way, lol. Yesterday in the H Osaka lobby, I was reminded once again how important it is—including for me—to be able to look at myself from a distance.

I’m Meg, a female member. So you’re a fellow anonymous-question-box devotee! I’m happy to have a kindred spirit here (*^^*) It’s fun because we get to hear all kinds of opinions from everyone’s different perspectives. Mac is like a dad I have so much to learn from. Paper Airplane is charging full speed ahead as a handsome older guy. Joe is like an older brother. Souzetsu is my mentor. Flag Maker is my little brother. (You always make me laugh, and I look forward to your witty comebacks to my answers lol) Papuwa-chan is my adorable daughter♪ (Don’t overdo it with the cigarettes, okay?) Romane is a truly elegant presence. (I love those razor-sharp posts.) Marika and Rin are the beautiful mature women I look up to. Me? A slightly questionable mature beauty—ahaha~ Anonymous questions are so much fun! >Prince of Switzerland So you’ve moved from the Corporate Planning Office to the President’s Office. That’s amazing!!! Amazing!!! Congratulations! Maybe it’s time to change your name from Prince of Switzerland to King of Switzerland…

I’m Papercraft, a male member. Wait, Mac— Is this a question for me? Hmm, or is it fan mail? I’m really happy that you read the question so carefully. Thank you so much m(._.)m Just as the question said, I was happy that Papwa-san’s polite remarks seemed sincere. I was also glad that Romane-san and Rin-san spoke up: > I felt saved as a fellow female member when Romane-san and Rin-san expressed their discomfort (unless I’m reading too much into it—sorry!). If I’ve stayed in your memory, I’m honored. As for answering the questions: My favorite column is by Flag Maker-san (Ah, maybe you wouldn’t be happy if I said that since I wrote it…) As for my favorite answer: I read all the answers (probably), so I feel that every answer is necessary. Depending on the question, of course, but I’m genuinely happy when lots of answers with different perspectives come in. I imagine the person who asked the question is happier when there are more responses too. At first, I often competed with Papwa-san to be the first to answer. But around the time Maezawa-san took over again, Maezawa-san started posting questions more quickly, so I wanted to help by making sure there was at least one answer ready when a question went up. That’s why I gradually started answering faster and faster. It was almost as if I were in charge of the question box— When Maezawa-san posted something, there would already be one or two answers from readers. Lately, more and more people have been answering quickly too. And since the number of answers has increased, I sometimes skipped questions when there were already lots of responses or when I didn’t know how to answer them. But as I read everyone’s responses, I sometimes thought, “Wouldn’t an answer leaning more toward this side be better?” or came across opinions completely opposite to mine. I had plenty of “Huhhh?” moments, but I came to accept that having opposing opinions and a variety of perspectives was probably better than having a bunch of similar answers. Recently, Romane-san also wrote some very insightful thoughts about answering questions, which made me rethink my own position: “Wow, this idiot’s already answered.” “No way in hell that’s true, you moron—” Something like that? Huh??? Anyway, please forgive me m(_ _)m I’m aiming for a new sales record this month, so I’ll wrap things up here. P.S. Flag Maker-san, thank you as always. You’re my source of comfort m(._.)m > Papercraft-san > > Women in their 20s > Old ladies in their 30s ← This one > Beautiful witches in their 40s > > Isn’t it kind of harsh that only “old ladies in their 30s” gets that treatment? lol True. Actually, if we weren’t talking about papa-katsu, it would be more like: 18–21: Kids 22–24: Children 25–29: Good-looking women 30s: Really wonderful women 40s: Beautiful witches 50s: Women who understand life But it’s too late to write anything now… PPS. Mac-san— When I first appeared in one of the questions, I was happy to be mentioned as someone who had offered thanks or shown understanding. At the same time, I felt awkward about being put forward over the other answerers. But having myself featured in an aggressive way actually feels much more refreshing and satisfying… I only realized that after being featured before. Maybe it was like the “ka-i-kan…” moment from *Sailor Suit and Machine Gun*… This time was a little questionable, but the fact that I managed to make women in a certain age group uncomfortable makes me think—perhaps it’s wishful thinking—that my beam aimed at high-end hostesses aged 22 and over had some effect, since I’m worried about the growing influence of the nightlife industry lately. PPPS. Flag Maker-san— > Your girlfriend will get angry with you lol If I got rejected by a woman who sent me a reverse offer through the question box, th-that would be… really bad… I hope I can report back safely to Maezawa-san. > Mac-san What an incredibly unique and amazing idea… I’m getting really excited about it now… (Though I’m sure that’s not what you meant… unless… lol) > Romane-san I was genuinely happy that you wrote such a sharp, detailed response. It gave me a huge amount of courage. Thank you so much. I think I now understand a little of how the people who ask questions addressed to Romane-san must feel. PPPS. Actually, during the little over two months starting in April of the COVID period, I became concerned—perhaps unnecessarily—that things had deteriorated so badly that Universe had virtually no value left, so I shifted my focus toward providing information for men. If new members joined but there were no offers to speak of, continuing their membership would be out of the question. There were also quite a few men who said they didn’t want women from the nightlife or hostess world. Since the club involves close contact, I thought that if people were comfortable with that during this period, the proportion of members joining from industries involving close contact would increase. So I provided information from the men’s perspective, including harsh criticism that even the staff couldn’t write themselves—though the wording was extremely rude and offensive to women, and no one else was touching the subject. Naturally, that resulted in an intense backlash from women. So when I touched a nerve with Rin-san, Romane-san, and the questioner, I was filled with the satisfaction of knowing that it had gone exactly as planned—a complete success. I’m not angry at all. I’m completely satisfied with the sense of accomplishment from what I’m calling another great success. Rin-san and Romane-san, please forgive me for making you uncomfortable m(_ _)m Things may start moving in a similar direction to the COVID period again, so I still haven’t decided which side to focus on. Please bear with me. > Mac-san, Romane-san Without your support, I’m still too inexperienced to have written an answer like this. Thank you both so much. I’m deeply impressed by the power you two have.

I’m Flag Maker, the column writer. Thank you for the compliment! Earlier, one of my subordinates gave me a really low-level rebuttal, which irritated me so much that I ended up having an incredibly childish argument with them, lol. I’m hiding out in the bathroom right now, sitting on the toilet and trying to calm down. I happened to read this at that exact moment, so words of praise like these really hit home (tears). Thank you, lol. As for the other contributors, I’m especially impressed by those who post a lot of answers. Since I’m just checking my phone during breaks at work, there are times when I can’t keep up with everything, so I really appreciate the people who answer frequently. As for the content, I also find opinions different from mine helpful, so I don’t particularly think there’s one person who’s “the best.” That said, Romane’s answers occasionally make me burst out laughing, lol. And Mack, who can give humorous answers like the one to this question—I really like that about you, lol. There are also times when I read Paper Airplane’s answers and think, “Huh?” But they don’t get all that angry when I call them out directly, so teasing Paper Airplane is one of my little pleasures, lol. > Paper Airplane 18–21: Brats ← This is the part I’m talking about now 22–24: Children 25–29: Good women 30s: Really good women 40s: Beautiful women who have aged like fine wine 50s: Women who understand Calling the pure and innocent female college students aged 18–21—who I assume are Paper Airplane’s preferred type—“brats” seems a bit harsh, doesn’t it? Lol The women you’re dating are going to get mad at you, lol.
