That said, they still sent messages like, “I really want to see you!” and “I’ll invite you when I find the time,” so we spent that period waiting together. So when it comes to new offers, I imagine they’ll be even more eager—like they’ve been waiting forever… Right after I registered, my heart would race and my cheeks would flush every time a staff member contacted me. I know it can be difficult to decide. Questioner, I don’t think waiting another week will make much difference from this point on, so I think you should go for it while you’re feeling excited and motivated. I’m a male member, Paper Airplane. If you’re in Kyoto or Osaka, now is a good time. Since there are more opportunities when there are fewer newly registered women to make offers to, it seems like there are quite a few men eagerly waiting to go on dates.

Maezawa from the Business Planning Office here. No one knows what the future holds—particularly the situation after May 21—but I expect things to gradually pick up. As for the past month, since we were closed for part of that time and the COVID-19 state of emergency was in effect, it felt like activity was around 50–60% of normal. It’s possible that June could even be busier than the same month last year, but we won’t know until the month is over. For example, even if the number of dates is cut in half, if the number of women registering is also cut in half, your level of visibility would remain about the same. If you’re, say, the most beautiful woman in Tokyo—so striking that every man turns to look when you walk down the street—you might be better off waiting until the number of dates increases. But if you’re not quite at that level, I don’t think registering now would make much difference in terms of the odds. You could even argue that there are more opportunities when fewer new women are registering. If you’re worried, you could wait until all states of emergency have been lifted before registering. Ultimately, though, which timing offers more opportunities will vary from person to person.
