Last Wednesday, I emailed to request an interview at the Okinawa branch.
I thought I might have made a mistake sending it, but I hadn’t received a reply. So I searched online last night and found out from the blog of someone named Kamiya at the Okinawa branch that it is currently closed.
Since there aren’t any staff members at the Okinawa branch, does that mean interviews aren’t possible either?
Do the staff, registered female members, and male members of the Okinawa branch register outside the prefecture or travel outside Okinawa to find someone to meet? What is everyone doing at the moment?

Our email system allows staff nationwide to view emails from anywhere in the country, so if you didn’t receive a reply, I suspect either the email address was incorrect and the response couldn’t be delivered, or there was some other issue.

That’s not the case.
At the moment, due to the impact of COVID-19, interviews are being conducted online nationwide.
That’s why we’re offering online interviews.
After passing the online interview, you can either register as is or come to a branch to have your photo taken and use that photo for your registration. In Okinawa, as you mentioned, there currently aren’t any staff members, so I believe that if you pass the online interview and screening, you’ll simply be registered directly.
Incidentally, once the situation with COVID-19 settles down, we expect staff to be stationed at the Okinawa branch again.
Please rest assured that setting up dates in Okinawa is still possible, just as before.

I’m a male member in Seattle.
These days, it’s a video interview. That should still be the case after May 21, but I think you can just email the Tokyo headquarters.
