Questioner, if you’re too broke to become a member until next year, I don’t think you’re who they’re looking for. By all means, become a Black member right away and look down on us regular members. In this world, you never know how long an opportunity will last.

No one knows what next year will bring.
You may be able to meet them now, but you may not be able to meet them next year. Rules may also change, bringing restrictions that don’t exist today.
For example, in an unrelated matter, an announcement dated March 27, 2020, stated that the concierge service had been changed:

It said:
“If the club determines that a male member has made excessive advances based on personal feelings, we will establish the following restrictions on staff requests for Black members through the member website, in order to prevent and deter such behavior.”
This was something that hadn’t existed before. However, because of the excessive behavior of just one member, it was decided that it was unacceptable, and the rules were changed to impose restrictions. This is one example.
The rules could also change so that meeting the respondent is no longer allowed if even one seriously problematic member appears.
That’s why asking about it now is pointless.
I think it would be better to ask the staff directly once you’re in a position to join.

I believe he wrote that he had already achieved things to some extent, so I’m puzzled as to what gave you the impression that he still hadn’t found what he was looking for.
If he has started searching again, perhaps he thought that since around 20% of the male members are exceptionally good, he might try meeting the other 80% while putting up with them in order to find those men.
Of course, I can’t know for sure since I’m not him.

To begin with, it doesn’t seem like you’re looking for anything from the men in the club. I don’t think you see them as potential romantic partners, either.
