Even if you update him on what’s been going on and tell him you’re feeling anxious, I feel all he can really say is: “Yeah, that sounds tough.” If you tell him you want to see him, a man who’s worried about COVID would probably explain that and say he can’t meet right now. If he isn’t concerned about it, he’d likely start working out the schedule by asking, “When would you like to meet?” > Do you think he saw through the fact that I had ulterior motives? He already knew that from the beginning. The question is whether he wants to see you despite that—or, rather, whether he wants to see you enough to go beyond it. And I think what matters most is what your relationship has been like up to this point.
