If I’m attractive enough to get into a salon, what rank would I be in at Universe Club?

Mamiya from Tokyo Unit and THE SALON here—I’ll answer this one. I’ve always felt that women in the Gold class have the potential to become Black-class women. They’re cute, but they’re just missing that little something. Once you add it, they can suddenly transform, almost like a multiplication effect! Platinum-class women tend to remain Platinum-class. Why? Because being generally cute or beautiful will always be in demand, so there’s less room for change. It all depends on how the raw talent is brought out—the chef makes all the difference. THE SALON’s concept is to find women who suit each individual client, so we don’t have women who are Platinum-class in appearance but Standard-class on the inside. Anyone can introduce a woman who looks Black-class but is Platinum-class on the inside. But a woman who looks Gold-class and is super-Black on the inside—that’s the kind of woman I’d like to introduce this time. Why? Because she’s 〇〇! Anyway, I’m off to interview another SALON woman now. I’m going in fired up!

This is Saito, the columnist. I’d love to say I’m extremely successful at salons, of course, but I’ve never managed to make even one match there. Eventually, the salon staff told me, “We can’t introduce you to any more women.” At Universe, though, I do make selections from time to time—although they’ve only been dinner gatherings. Women who remain humble and keep putting in the effort look many times more attractive. Especially during the height of the stay-at-home restrictions, I found myself more drawn to women who were working hard for others than to women who were simply making an effort to stay beautiful. Haha. Slightly off topic, but I also like women who keep their own pace no matter what.

Maezawa from the Corporate Planning Office here as well. SALON is positioned above Universe. That means only select men can join—men with annual incomes of at least ¥40 million who have also passed a screening process that evaluates more than just their financial status, including their appearance and behavior. Naturally, the women are carefully selected as well, so only women ranked above Black in Universe are eligible to register. I believe I once heard that some women were even turned away when applying as Black members at Universe, though I may be mistaken. A woman from SALON would probably be ranked Black at Universe, but registering as Platinum might be better since it could attract a flood of offers. So I can’t necessarily say that registering as Black is the best option...

I’m a male member, “Paper Airplane.” There have been Black-class women who, after meeting them, I felt were more like Goal level. And there have also been Platinum-class women who seemed more like Standard level. The reverse does happen too, though not very often. But if you like someone, she’s the best choice regardless of her class.
