I have a question I’d like to ask.
I’ve been seeing someone on a monthly arrangement who contacted me shortly after I joined.
I suddenly wondered when his birthday was and tried to look at his profile.
His profile was visible until our third meeting, but at some point it became unavailable.
(I still look at it from time to time because we haven’t known each other very long, and I like to think back over our conversations and other details before seeing him so I don’t accidentally offend him.)
Does this mean he has hidden his profile from me, or has he taken a break from or left the service?
I was worried that asking him directly might make him uncomfortable, so I decided to ask here instead.

Male members’ profiles are only visible to people they’ve made an offer to, so I assume it was automatically hidden once the visibility period expired.
Why not ask her birthday while you’re chatting and getting to know each other?

There are three visibility settings for men’s profiles: private, public, and visible only to people they’ve made an offer to.
When a profile is visible only to people they’ve made an offer to, there’s a set period during which the profile can be viewed. You can only see it during that period—about a week, if I remember correctly. I’ve forgotten the exact length of time.
Men can also freely change their profile visibility settings. So it’s possible that he kept his profile public for a while after making an offer, but then changed it to private after finding someone he wanted to see regularly, deciding there was no point in keeping it public since he wouldn’t be making offers to other women for the time being.

There’s no function on men’s profiles that allows them to hide their profile from just one specific person. So he probably either hid it from everyone or changed the setting so it’s visible only to people he’s made an offer to.
Women do have an individual hide function. You can ask the staff to hide the man you’re currently seeing by saying, “Please make my current partner invisible.” His profile will then no longer be visible to the other person, which can help prevent unnecessary trouble.
Apparently, some men may even get angry just because you edited a comment…

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member.
Apparently, it’s possible to hide your profile, but I’ve never done that myself, and even when staff have talked to me about women I was seriously interested in, that possibility never came up.
So I think it’s best to assume that they’ve either taken a break from the club or withdrawn their membership.
Even if they have hidden their profile, it means they’re conscious of and concerned about you to that extent, so I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing.
