Quite a long time ago, I also hosted and emceed marriage-oriented parties (known as “coupling parties” back then).
Compared with the women at casual-style parties, Universe women are generally in at least the top 45% in terms of looks, so I think the men are very likely to be satisfied in that regard.
My concern is that, when it comes to marriage, men often prefer the women at ordinary casual parties over those at parties for men with highly desirable credentials—and they may be more likely to marry them.
Many doctors, for example, want to meet someone at a casual party without revealing their profession. When it comes to finding a spouse, they may want to avoid women who are only interested in their occupation or income. How will that factor come into play?
At casual parties, more than 80% of the women are attending for the first time.
On the other hand, parties for men with highly desirable credentials do attract more women of average looks, but over 80% of the women are repeat attendees who go to all kinds of parties.
The first-time women who happen to get lucky are the ones who end up getting married.
If those women were all at the Universe level, I imagine they’d become incredibly popular with men.

These days, many members—both men and women—are single, so I’d really encourage everyone to pursue marriage.

It seems that quite a few members develop serious feelings through long-term relationships. Some have even ended up getting married.
That’s why we’ve also launched a matchmaking service. However, Universe itself still hasn’t fully figured out the best way to approach matchmaking, so for now, we’re offering a very standard matchmaking service.
After you join, we’ll ask in detail what kind of partner you’re looking for. We’ll then search our database for someone who seems to fit your preferences and introduce you.
If you decide you’d like to meet that person, you’ll pay a matchmaking fee and go on what is essentially a date under the name of an “omiai” meeting.
Once you decide that this is the person you want to settle down with, you’ll pay a marriage-match fee, and both of you will officially leave the service as a successful match.
(The idea is that once you’ve made your decision, you won’t continue looking for other partners—that’s simply considered the natural thing to do.)
You can have omiai meetings with as many people as you like, and before officially becoming a match, you can also date multiple people.
In the future, we’d like to introduce Universe-style arrangements, such as contract marriages. However, we haven’t reached that stage yet.
If you’re both single and hoping to get married, with marriage as the ultimate goal, but feel that you need to date first to see whether you’re truly compatible, then I feel that Universe’s existing system could work as it is.
(You do have to be single to join.)
That said, I think we’ll need to gain more experience as Universe before we can offer that kind of service.
