Could you explain how the registered branch works?

Maezawa from the Business Planning Office here. Your branch registration is automatically determined by your current address. If you’re currently on leave, it’s best to contact the branch you were registered with when you took leave. However, both branches are part of the same company and coordinate internally, so it’s perfectly fine to contact either the Yokohama or Tokyo branch. That said, regardless of which branch you interview at, you’ll be registered based on your current address. For example, if you live in Tokyo, you’ll be registered with Tokyo even if you interview in Yokohama. If you have a compelling reason, we can discuss it, but in most cases, the staff will probably try hard to persuade you otherwise. By the way, if you’re on leave, you can usually resume your account as is. However, if you cancel your membership and then register again, you’ll have to go through the screening process again, so even if you were registered before, you may not be accepted this time. That said, if you received several offers in the past, you should be fine, since the screening criterion is whether we believe you’re likely to receive offers after registering.
