The calendar feature was added in response to user requests and expectations. If women enter their availability “properly” and “accurately,” men can make offers based on those dates, so there should be fewer disappointing situations where schedules don’t line up.
However, once we actually implemented it, many women would enter their schedules initially but fail to update the calendar when other plans came up.
As a result, even when a man checked the calendar, confirmed that she was available, and sent an offer, he would be told, “I already have plans that day, so I can’t meet.”
I feel bad for the women who diligently keep their calendars up to date, but people started thinking, “The calendar isn’t really reliable, is it? They probably haven’t updated it.”
After having a few bad experiences, many men now send offers without paying attention to the calendar.
It should be a useful feature if used properly, and I feel sorry for the women who update theirs responsibly, but even when men check the calendar, most of them still make offers regardless of what it says.

I don’t think you need to keep your calendar updated. Men who genuinely want to meet will ask about your availability.

When making an offer, I usually choose from several women recommended by the club, so I prioritize my own schedule.
When I’m offering to meet only one woman, I’ll suggest dates based on her calendar if it was updated recently. However, I get the impression that not many women keep their calendars updated regularly. I’ve also had offers turned down because other plans came up after some time had passed since the last update.
I don’t think you need to worry too much about the calendar.

Many women don’t have a calendar, have never logged in, or haven’t updated their profiles since joining, so I don’t think there’s really any need to update it.

I’m a male member based in Seattle.
I’ll check the calendar if it’s been updated, but when I send an offer, I list up to five dates when I’d like to meet. The woman’s schedule may have changed, after all.
Most women don’t keep their calendars updated, so I don’t think you need to worry about it.
