Many of my plans have been canceled because of the coronavirus—including dates... Has this happened to anyone else? How long do you think this will last?

I’m Basil, a male member. I’ve actually had more free time lately, so I’ve been going on more dates. That said, I can only manage about once a week physically. My activity had been slowing down since the beginning of the year, but I feel like I’ve gotten back into the swing of things—including answering questions in this section. No one has turned me down because of the virus. It seems everyone has suddenly found themselves with free time after their planned events, business trips, and meetings were canceled.

Of course, that includes dates too… If it’s the first date arranged by Universe, we started offering “online dates” on a trial basis this month. It seems to be designed for people who are worried about meeting in person right now. Personally, I thought meeting face-to-face was the whole point, so I wondered whether anyone would use it. However, some men have shown interest, and we’ve started receiving offers for online dates. Some women apparently decline because they don’t want a date where they can’t meet in person, but I’m curious to see how many people ultimately end up using the service.

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member. My business has fewer and fewer customers, so I’ve been busier than usual, having to deal with all kinds of situations, make decisions, and give instructions. I also need to take every measure I can and work with the bank on countermeasures. On top of that, I have to shop for my family and look after the kids. I can’t forget about my dates, either. And my long-term girlfriend is going to have time off work, so she wants to see me too. I’m supposedly a person with nothing to do, but… wait, am I actually living a pretty full life?? The media only seems to criticize the government, but with the number of deaths overseas starting to surpass Japan’s, I wonder if the current measures will eventually be reevaluated. I hope things settle down soon enough for that to happen. It looks like this may continue for another month or two, doesn’t it? About a month and a half ago, an expert on the TV show Hiruobi said, “The peak will be in April,” and given the current situation, it seems that may come true. I really hope things start settling down by Golden Week. P.S. Has anyone tried an online date? What was it like? I’m trying not to make an offer, but I’m curious.

The kids are home all the time → they’re bored → preparing meals is a constant chore → I can’t really take them out much → I’m getting way too stressed (-""-;) That’s the situation at my place, but I really don’t want to cancel my dates! ...Though I wonder if all the male respondents here have been canceling their dates. It also seemed like some of them were still making offers, though? Either way, I hope things settle down soon. P.S. Oh, was it Hana? (*^^*) It must be affecting your work too, right? Ah, all you gentlemen! This is the perfect chance to make an offer to Hana, the Kyoto beauty! (Even though I’ve never met her, I confidently recommend her.)
