> The day after our first dinner date, he asked about setting up our next date. Is it safe to assume that he’s interested in me?
He seems to like you quite a lot. I’d say you’re probably his top choice.
> We had talked about each of us finding one person, but does it ultimately come down to our compatibility in an adult relationship (intimate)?
Since you were both talking about finding one person each,
I think it will be decided 100% on factors other than your adult relationship compatibility.
I assume he’s open to an adult relationship, and that you feel the same way. If so, I don’t think you’ll be dissatisfied with the adult relationship going forward, or that everything will hinge on that.
Rather than worrying too much about compatibility, I think it’s best to simply enjoy yourselves naturally, just as you did on your first date.

> He asked about our next date the day after our first dinner date.
If he was really interested in you, I feel he would have invited you to meet again either after dinner or sometime that same day.
If not, it may be more likely that he simply liked you to an average degree. However, if she’s a Type B woman, she may have waited until the following day to bring up future dates because she wanted to be careful not to scare you off.
> So in the end, does it come down to how compatible we are in an adult relationship...?
I think so.
Also, from your perspective, isn’t the allowance important too?
You may feel more comfortable being with just one person, but if the allowance is too low, I think it may be difficult for you to commit to just one person.
If you like the other person, you might agree to a lower amount. But in that case, it may become difficult for both of you to see only each other—that is, for her to have only you as her papa.
Ultimately, it’s fine to aim for having just one partner, but at this stage, dating several people may help you learn what works best for you.

> Is it fair to assume that he has feelings for me?
That sounds promising.
I think you’re one of his favorites.
> Or does it ultimately depend on how compatible we are in an adult relationship…?
That’s important.
In my experience, “adult compatibility” is extremely important—and surprisingly complicated. It’s not simply a matter of being good or bad at it. Of course, being good at it certainly helps…
It’s more about whether everything feels right together—your bodies, feelings, atmosphere, and all the other senses.
Mac and Kami Hikōki probably know more about this sort of thing. They’ll probably weigh in eventually, so use their answers as a reference(笑)
I’m sure they can’t wait to jump in and write about this(笑)

It depends on how well you click in an adult relationship, but here’s a little advice.
If you immediately start getting ready to leave as soon as the “end-of-work chime” sounds (when he reaches climax), many men may feel disappointed, so please keep that in mind.
I hope you’re able to maintain a good relationship♪

I think your understanding is correct.
I’ve never invited anyone to meet the very next day before. I wonder if everyone has more free time because of the impact of COVID-19?
