In my case, the staff member who interviewed me was also a woman.
Even if you don’t become her favorite, making a good impression on someone of the same gender is, I think, the first hurdle.
If you can clear that hurdle smoothly, they may be more inclined to support you, and your communication afterward will likely go more smoothly too.

More than half of our interview staff are women.
(The gender ratio varies slightly depending on the time of year.)
If a female member is especially wonderful, even our female staff may personally take a liking to her and recommend her.
Needless to say, the same goes for male staff.
That said, when a woman is someone we genuinely like, we can recommend her with confidence, so I believe things are likely to work out well.

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member.
Since there seems to be very little contact between them—there are far more female members than male members, and they’re constantly coming and going—I don’t think it happens very often.
Even if a male staff member takes a liking to a particular girl, girls like that usually get plenty of offers, so there’s no real need for him to look after her. If he does take special care of someone, it might be a girl he isn’t actually interested in at all—someone who doesn’t get many offers…
On the other hand, female staff members might be more likely to take a liking to less popular girls because they want to help them somehow…
Most male staff members probably have a favorite among the female staff—or secretly hope they might even start dating her…
And some may be watching for their chance all along…

Wouldn’t the women featured in the “Recommended” section on the members-only site for men be the kind you’re looking for?
Also, the women the club occasionally recommends by email.

Of course, I think that’s perfectly reasonable. Depending on the female member’s situation at the interview—things that don’t come through in her photos or profile—it’s only natural for the staff to recommend her as well.
