I asked a question about “secret” women a little while ago as well.

I’m Marika, a Secret member. I’ll answer assuming you’re also a female Secret member. This may get a little long, so please bear with me. First of all, I’m neither a celebrity nor a famous person, and I’m not exceptionally beautiful—certainly not Black-level. I was made a Secret member simply because I’m afraid of being recognized. Because of my location and job, I know quite a few wealthy men, and I feel I have a fair amount to lose if my involvement becomes known. At first, I was listed publicly rather than as a Secret member. However, because being visible for the reasons above made me constantly nervous, I switched to Secret about two weeks after joining. During my first month, I received around four offers. Two came while my profile was public, and two after I switched to Secret. I received several more offers over the next two or three months. However, all of those men had added me to their favorites while my profile was public. Apparently, they were still able to view my profile even after I became a Secret member. In the end, I believe there was only one man whom the club introduced to me specifically as a Secret member. As expected, becoming a Secret member causes offers to drop sharply for an ordinary woman. The frequency with which the club introduces women to men probably varies considerably depending on each woman’s profile and appeal. That said, this was before being a Secret member became a benefit of Black membership. Unless you’re exceptionally beautiful or a celebrity, there are still Platinum, Gold, and Standard classes even among Secret members. There’s really no reason for a Black member to go out of his way to make an offer to someone in a lower class, is there? I imagine many people, like Mr. Kamihikoki, see no value whatsoever in being a Secret member, and I certainly don’t think Black members particularly appreciate the privilege. Still, that’s how the current rules work, so there’s nothing we can do about it. As Mac said, I also think the only way to receive offers is to make your profile public. However, I still haven’t made mine public. I think you should consider it carefully and decide for yourself whether to go public. If you’re actually SALON-level beautiful, then please excuse this completely off-base answer.

I’m Kamihikōki, a male member. When I joined, I assumed that since I’m very looks-oriented, I’d probably end up making offers almost exclusively to women in the Black class. I also thought I’d be tempted to make offers to Secret members, but I never even considered making offers to Gold members. After joining, making offers, and actually meeting people, I imagined that if I thought, “Platinum women really are different—wow, they’re great! As expected!” then Black members would be even better, and Secret members, being above them, might be the best of all. That’s what I expected before joining. But no matter how favorably I look at it, I haven’t found that to be the case. If anything, I’ve often found the opposite. Men are looking at things calmly, without being swayed by the class rankings. That’s why I now have almost no interest in Secret members. Even so, the word “Secret” does have a nice ring to it. However appealing the name may sound, if the chances of a man liking his match after a setting are no better than with the other classes—not even Black, or even Gold—then I don’t think the staff can simply introduce Secret members that easily.

Maezawa from the Business Planning Office here as well. Normally, we don’t make a woman’s profile secret on our side. We recommend secret registration when a woman says she doesn’t want to register because she’s afraid of being recognized, and the reason is understandable—for example, she works in show business or is a flight attendant. That said, if she strongly insists on being registered secretly, we may do so. I’m not entirely sure about your situation, but if you’re a celebrity or have some other profile that would attract men, we can introduce you immediately when a man says he wants to meet someone like you. In that case, you may receive some offers. If you don’t fit the conditions men are specifically asking about, you should probably assume that you’ll hardly be introduced at all. Introducing women men aren’t looking for won’t lead to offers, and if we introduced a secret-profile woman to everyone, it would defeat the purpose of secret registration. > If I tell the office that I’d like to receive more offers, will they introduce me to more men? Whether you receive introductions also depends on whether men request someone like you, but I still think it’s worth telling them. They might suggest registering you with blurred photos. If you aren’t receiving any offers right now, registering with blurred photos may be worth considering. (Even with blurred photos, though, the number of offers is significantly lower than with a regular registration.) Also, SALON didn’t exist before, but it does now. It uses the same system as Universe’s secret registration. There’s no member page, so there’s no list of women. Instead, each male member is individually introduced, in person on the day, to the woman who matches what he’s looking for. The men must earn at least ¥40 million a year. This isn’t based on self-reporting—they have to provide proof of income. (For men who absolutely can’t provide proof, they may be asked to show a very difficult-to-obtain credit card—there’s a specific one. However, men earning over ¥40 million apparently usually have no problem showing proof of income. Many of them also happen to have the designated card and will casually mention, “I have that card too,” while showing it.) What’s more, even if a man meets all of the above requirements, he may still be turned down if, after seeing him in person, the staff decide they can’t accept him. It’s a system with an extremely high admission threshold. (For example, men who don’t look clean and well-groomed may be refused.) The screening for women is strict as well, so the chances of being registered with SALON are low. However, if you live in the Kanto area, it may be worth applying to register with SALON.
