What matters to female members isn’t a man’s membership rank—it’s the allowance. If it’s a flat 50,000 yen, what’s the problem? Jealousy and resentment between men are pretty ugly.

I’m Meg, a female member. So you’re a fan of Mac! We might become friends (*^^*) As Mac says, what matters is the allowance and what happens in bed. Thanks to that, I’m happy♪

I’m Saito, a column writer ♪ I think Mr. Maezawa has a point. There are all kinds of people out there, so if both parties are happy with the arrangement, I don’t see a problem. That said, since this is a Q&A forum, I do feel—as many of you have pointed out—that it’s somewhat off-topic.

I’m Flag Maker, a columnist. Male jealousy is truly a pain… At work, I keep my papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) completely under wraps and put on an act so people see me as “just a pitiful, balding man who’s afraid of his wife.”

I’m a male member, BB7. I think men who are incredibly popular while offering a flat 5 must have something valuable besides money. Women aren’t willing to see just anyone, either. On the other hand, men who throw around 10, 20, or 30 and act all high and mighty, along with women who flaunt it by saying, “Look how much I’m getting,” come across like tacky small-town delinquents.

This is Maezawa from the Corporate Planning Office. I assume you’re looking for people’s opinions on this, so I’ll answer the question as if it were: “Wouldn’t a flat ¥50,000 be fine? What does everyone think?” This may come across differently from simply defending the idea, but if it’s just the man imposing his own wishes, and the woman wasn’t actually satisfied—thinking, “It was ¥50,000, but I really wanted more and felt uncomfortable refusing”—then I don’t think that’s okay. Later, we may receive feedback from her saying something like, “I reluctantly agreed. He wasn’t a very nice person.” However, if the woman is genuinely satisfied, then there’s no problem at all. When it comes to the allowance, what matters is whether both people are happy with the arrangement. If they are, then even if the result is a flat ¥50,000, I don’t think there’s any issue. If both people are happy, it’s not something for outsiders to criticize.

I’m Date◎Yume, a male member. I agree with your opinion. I don’t think there’s any need to go so far that it becomes unacceptable, but since this isn’t a business, I think women should approach it with a certain degree of humility—or at least caution. Let’s not forget that you’re competing with other industries, too… (lol)
