The resentment and hostility between women can be frightening, so perhaps the woman ends up being viewed negatively and treated like Becky, while the man, Higashide, isn’t affected nearly as much. There have even been men like Okamura coming to his defense. I think women simply can’t understand the mindset of men who cheat because things are going well with their wives or girlfriends—in other words, because they already have someone and feel secure enough to be popular. Just a moment ago, Pin子 Izumi said on TV that the other woman probably wanted to break them up. That’s such a typically female desire to think, “I’m the one who’s better,” isn’t it? Scary...

I’m Seattle, a male member. I can sympathize with Higashide—if Erika Karata came on to you, of course you’d be tempted. That said, he’s a celebrity whose image of marital bliss is part of why he gets commercials, so this could be career-ending. He probably should have divorced, but I guess it’s too late now. I was looking forward to the sequel to *The Confidence Man JP*, but I’m worried it’ll actually make it to theaters.
