I’m looking to date married women, but it seems Universe doesn’t make people’s marital status clear. Are interviewers instructed not to ask about it either? I’d like to distinguish between married and single women as much as possible…

Kida here as well—I can’t let Mamiya beat me! Meeting married women can be great too, as long as both parties are comfortable with it. At Universe, there are times when we ask whether someone is married and times when we don’t. Depending on the version of the profile form, the question may or may not be included. However, we don’t display that information on the member site. The reason is to reduce the possibility of the husband of a married woman seeking compensation for infidelity if he finds out about the relationship. It could potentially come down to: Listed on the member site = You knew she was married and had an affair = Compensation claimed Not listed on the member site = You believed she was unmarried = No compensation So the club tries not to disclose that information whenever possible. If you tell us in advance, “I don’t want to be sued for infidelity, so please let me know if the woman I’m offered is married,” we’ll inform you if we know. For members in the Black Class, we can look into it and provide a fairly detailed answer. (That’s the sales pitch.)
