I’ve received a few offers, but none from foreigners yet, and lately I’ve really started wanting to date someone from another country.

I’m Meg, a female member. What comes to mind is: 1. Promote yourself in the foreign-language comments section. 2. Like men listed under “International” on the public male-member profiles. 3. Talk to the staff at your branch and let them know what you’re looking for. That’s about all I can think of. I do wonder just how little English you speak, but these days, you can get by surprisingly well with a translation app on your phone. That said, please keep in mind that if you rely on it too much, the conversation may not flow, and you could end up thinking, “Oh…?” There’s no time like the present! Why not take this opportunity to start practicing English conversation? If you do, the staff may be more receptive as well. It’s wonderful to see someone take on a new challenge, and it could benefit you personally, too. I hope you receive an offer that matches what you’re looking for♪

This is Maezawa from the Business Planning Office. During your interview, there should have been an option asking whether you were comfortable being matched with foreign men. Unless you selected “Okay with foreign men” at a minimum, you won’t receive any offers. If you don’t remember which option you chose, please contact the staff at your registered branch and tell them: “I’ve recently become more interested in dating foreign men. I don’t remember whether I selected ‘Okay with foreign men’ during my interview, but if it’s currently set to ‘Not okay,’ I’d like to change it.” Also, if possible, ask them to inform the staff in the international division as well. That way, when the international staff receive an inquiry from a foreign male member, they may remember that there’s a woman like you and recommend you to him.
