I think women often go on dates with very little information about the male member, so in many cases, they can’t really form much of an impression before meeting him in the first place.
For example, even if his profile says, “He’s a doctor in his 40s who enjoys dining out,” doctors can be heavyset or slim, and you have no idea whether he’s tall or short. And while it says he enjoys dining out, it doesn’t say how much he enjoys it, so that information isn’t very useful either.
Even “in his 40s” can mean someone who looks nearly 60 because he has aged considerably, or someone who looks about 30 because he appears young.
In the past, we even received a report saying something like, “He looks Chinese…” and a staff member went to keep watch at the meeting place.
These days, men can write and publish their own profiles, so I think there’s somewhat more information available. However, few people make their photos public.
So rather than the information conflicting with reality, I feel there simply isn’t enough information to begin with.
