There’s a girl who says she’d like to go to a classical concert. What kind of music or composer should I choose?

Maezawa from the Corporate Planning Office here as well. If she’s saying she’d like to go to a classical concert, she probably has a specific one in mind. I’d suggest simply asking which concert she wants to attend, then coordinating your schedules, getting the tickets, and taking her.

I’m Meg, a female member. I don’t know much about classical music myself, so I asked a friend who’s a professional violinist. ① I think you can simply choose based on your personal preferences. Since the concerts available will probably be narrowed down by the location and time of year, why not pick something that interests you from among those options? ② For something easy to listen to, symphonies by Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, or Dvořák are good choices. A violin recital could be nice too. Concerts by popular performers like Chisako Takashima and Taro Hakase are also enjoyable even for beginners. That’s what she said (*^^*) I hope you find a concert that you’ll both enjoy♪

I’m Saito, the column writer♪ I agree with Mac. I also think there’s something wonderful about having the person themselves explain it to you honestly. I have absolutely no artistic sense. Once, in Italy—or somewhere like that—a woman took me to the opera, and I slept through 99% of it because I couldn’t understand the language. What surprised me was that quite a few of the other Italian men had apparently been sleeping too. A local Italian woman laughed and gently told me, “Italian men are all about looking cool—they’re only thinking about having sex afterward.” It’s a fond memory. Whether it’s a movie, a concert, or a meal, I’d like it to be over in about two hours. lol
