I’m a BB7 male member.
I haven’t met any women at the club who live entirely off papa-katsu, but I think many women who call themselves talents or models, yet earn barely enough to support themselves, are essentially living almost entirely off papa-katsu.
You can probably get a fairly good idea from what they list as their occupation.
At Universal, aside from students, most of the women seem to have stable, regular jobs and treat their papa-katsu income as extra money.

The person I’ve been seeing for six years has been living off my money for about four of those years. She’s a shut-in who spends less than ¥100,000 a month, so I think that’s why she’s even able to save money.
I also like stocks, so I’ve taught her about investing, and she’s been able to grow her money that way too.

Outside of clubs, I feel there are quite a few women who support themselves almost entirely through papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), often with just one or two papas. There are also plenty who are extremely lazy and really don’t want to work. Many have trouble getting up in the morning, too.
Some women who worked intensely as models, event companions, or entertainers when they were younger find regular employment too different to adjust to once they reach around 30.
Women in clubs are more likely to have jobs, often have multiple papas, and tend to be more motivated.
Simply taking the initiative to apply to a club shows that they’re proactive. Also, the total amount club members earn through papa-katsu tends to be considerably higher.
Women who don’t even think of joining a club because the process feels like too much trouble often have extremely low monthly financial needs, or at least tend to need much less.

I’m Flag Maker, a columnist.
There’s a young woman I’ve known for a long time since we met, and she literally supports herself entirely through papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan). She ended up getting married while continuing on that path.
I don’t know the exact percentage, but I think there are quite a few women like that.

They seemed to be making a lot of money, but if it’s a short-term game, they need to carefully plan what they’ll do next.
