I think those are probably all more or less accurate.
That said, just like in a regular relationship, some people may also enjoy the possibility that it could eventually develop into an adult relationship (intimate).
And I think they’re generally fine with it if that never happens.

I’m a lost 60-something.
It’s enjoyable, even if there’s no adult relationship right now.
Actually, I often don’t have much time, so most of the people I’m seeing are ones I haven’t had one with.
For some reason, though, they continue seeing me long-term, and I’m grateful for that.
