I’ve thought this for a long time: I understand taking a woman shopping or giving her something she actually wants. But men who randomly pick out bags, accessories, clothes, and so on to give a woman—I honestly think they’re idiots of the highest order. I don’t want that stuff.
Sorry for the rant.

Definitely try pairing it with different outfits as part of your training. Think of it as practice!

If it’s not your style at all, I don’t think you necessarily have to wear it.
The man will probably gradually realize that it wasn’t really to your taste, even if he’s a little disappointed.
If he asks directly, though, I think you should at least say something like, “I keep it somewhere safe.”

If you let this continue, you may end up receiving another gift you don’t want.
I think you should tell him as soon as possible, “Next time, I’d like to go choose it together!”
Men often won’t understand unless you clearly tell them things like, “I want to exchange the item you chose,” or “Please don’t buy something on your own next time.”
Even boyfriends and ordinary men will often take your feelings into consideration and go shopping with you, so a papa who doesn’t do that and gives you gifts you don’t like has a pretty unusual talent.
I think you should correct this situation as soon as possible.
P.S. If you have a favorite brand, such as Louis Vuitton, you could tell him your preference in advance. Since those brands offer many different items, you may be able to exchange it later for something you like—for example, say, “Louis Vuitton would be great.” Even then, I think you need to make it clear that other brands won’t work. Of course, if you don’t like what you receive, tell him without hesitation that you’d like to exchange it.
