I’m registered with four clubs.
Universe may be taking a break, but at the other clubs, there are quite a few offers not just for Christmas, but also for New Year’s Day and New Year’s Eve.
I actually think meeting someone for the first time at a shrine on New Year’s Day sounds pretty wonderful. I’d like to try it……lol
As Mac says, there are quite a few people who feel lonely precisely when most ordinary people think, “There probably won’t be any offers that day…”

Everyone meets people in different ways.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with keeping in touch with or meeting someone you met through Universe.

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member.
Since we’re both usually busy with work, the year-end and New Year holiday is a time when neither of us has work, and I don’t receive any work-related messages at all. So I really enjoy exchanging lots of messages every day with the girls I’m close to through the club.
I also go for hatsumode—the first shrine visit of the year—with those who aren’t going back to their hometowns. There’s definitely something enjoyable about spending time with girls I met through the club.
As for my long-term companion who isn’t connected to the club, we don’t contact each other at all during the year-end and New Year holidays when we’re with our families, since it would be a serious problem if we were found out. But the girls from the club are younger, and because we met through the club, I can simply enjoy spending time with them.

I’m a male member in Seattle.
Since I’m single, I was still chatting about TV with a few people I’m close to. I think a simple greeting should be fine.
I don’t have any plans to meet anyone. A lot of the women are visiting their families back home too.
