> Are women waiting for the man to bring up the allowance?
It seems that many are.
> If the man doesn’t bring it up, how does things usually proceed?
After dinner, he may say something suggestive like:
“Can you go somewhere after this?”
Then you head to a hotel.
After entering the hotel and things are over, the man gives you whatever amount he had in mind, and that’s the end of it.
It’s often less than what you were hoping for.
So if the man doesn’t bring it up, you need to ask him clearly yourself.
The best time seems to be when he’s about to head to the hotel.
If you didn’t get a chance to ask then, I think it’s better to bring up the allowance soon after entering the hotel room.

Men are happy when a woman names an amount lower than they expected.
Women are happy when a man offers an amount higher than they expected.
That’s really all there is to it.
So I think men should simply pay whatever the woman asks for. I’ve never once stated my own preference—I just pay the amount I’m told.

It depends on the woman.
When the conversation turns to seeing each other after dinner, some women state what they’re looking for, while others wait for me to bring it up. When she brings it up first, the amount tends to be higher, so usually, once we’ve reached an understanding, I’ll immediately indicate with my fingers, “This is what I usually do with everyone.”

With Type C women, I usually bring up the subject myself pretty early on, and it tends to happen naturally.
With Type A or Type B women, I’ve never discussed it during the first or second meeting. At first, I tried asking what they were hoping for, but they never gave me an answer, so I stopped asking.
So I find women who don’t name an amount themselves more endearing, and I tend to be more generous at the first and second meetings. Basically, I don’t discuss the allowance with them and just continue based on what I feel like giving.
If the woman brings it up herself, I think my mood would drop to about the going rate…
If they were unhappy, I assume they would ask about it or stop contacting me, but so far, that hasn’t happened.
Even with Type C women, I hardly ever discuss the allowance after the second meeting. With women I like, I explain during the first meeting how I’d like things to progress—and I probably come across as getting carried away again.

If the man doesn’t bring it up, there’s nothing strange about the woman bringing it up herself.
The real problem is when you don’t discuss it at all, so be proactive about creating an opportunity to talk things over.
I think simply starting with, “About the allowance…” is perfectly fine.
If he plays dumb…
Try saying, “Um… about the allowance…”
And if he still doesn’t respond, I think it’s fine to say, “Thank you for today. Goodbye.”
