I really think it’s better to go through a dating club properly. I don’t think Hitomin is entirely to blame, either. Still, I believe it’s better to have at least some basic structure, with rules and guidelines in place.
There are some really bad people mixed in at parties and gatherings.
That’s why we use dating clubs instead of getting involved with ordinary people in our daily lives...

I looked it up online, and it sounds like blackmail under the guise of a “breakup payment.”
She received support for two years, initiated the breakup herself, and then demanded even more money. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Do they really have “breakup payments” at Univer too?
Did she think I’d pay if it was around three million yen?

I’ve heard that when a politician is appointed to the Cabinet, they check whether his relationships with women are clean. I assume that’s because it would be a serious problem if something came to light after his appointment.
For that reason, I think it’s quite common for the politician himself to pay a severance settlement, partly as an apology.
Apparently, politicians who have never had a scandal involving women would ask how much money the woman wanted and then always pay twice that amount.
In this case, for example, if the woman asked for ¥3 million, he would give her ¥6 million.
As with allowances in dating relationships, there doesn’t really seem to be a fixed going rate for this kind of payment. I think the agreed amount is simply whatever both the woman and the man are satisfied with.
It says she extorted him this time, but since the woman named her desired amount, the man negotiated it down, and they presumably both agreed to the final figure, I’m not sure it can really be called extortion.
Incidentally, among politicians, paying a severance settlement seems to be a long-standing custom, so it happens fairly routinely.
In a dating club, however, things are different from the political world, so normally there would be no severance settlement.
(If the politician met the woman through a dating club, though, I imagine there would be one.)
That said, if he had said they would eventually get married, then I feel some kind of payment—whether you call it a severance settlement or compensation—would likely be made.

Since he actually paid 1.8 million yen, I suppose it wasn’t entirely outrageous.
But having your real name spread around like that must be just as damaging for a college student as it is for a politician. You can’t draw attention to yourself—you have to keep it discreet.
