That said, for people who don’t know what romance is, experts explain it as:
“Having such intense feelings for a particular member of the opposite sex that one believes they would have no regrets even if they sacrificed everything else; constantly thinking about that person and wishing to be alone together and share a world belonging only to the two of them; feeling delighted when that wish comes true, and becoming anxious whenever even the slightest doubt arises.”

As expected, linguists really do see things differently.
But if we infer the meaning of a transactional relationship from the perspective that it is different from romance, it might be:
“A relationship with a particular member of the opposite sex in which no emotional sacrifice is involved, nothing that happens leads to regret, and no affection is felt; a relationship in which you don’t normally think about the other person, your worlds remain separate when you’re apart, and doubts do not make you anxious.”
Also, “transactional relationship” is usually an abbreviated expression. Strictly speaking, it refers to a relationship defined by money, so I suppose it means creating the kind of relationship described above through the involvement of money.

However, regardless of whether it is transactional, if a woman says she has absolutely no intention of having an adult relationship (intimate) with a man, that has a significant impact on the screening process.
The reason is that men are looking for something resembling romance. Many men do not want to date someone if, after pursuing her, they cannot develop the kind of relationship found in ordinary romantic relationships.
If, in the future, the majority of men become willing to keep paying generously even for dinner only (no intimacy), then the screening criteria will change.

That said, as a prerequisite, I personally feel that at Universe Group, the term “a transactional relationship” refers to a relationship in which both parties respect each other’s position and keep things within the framework of a dating club.
