I’m Joe, a columnist. A little late, but I thought I’d share my answer. Unlike most people, Joe has recently developed a thing for women in glasses. When I went to Ukraine for work, a local agent treated me to an evening at a strip club—or something along those lines. Ukraine is said to be a country of beautiful women, and it’s also known for having many tall women. While a succession of around-180-cm-tall strippers danced onstage, one petite woman stood out because she was wearing glasses. None of the others wore them, so she especially caught my attention. I invited her over to my table and found her to be friendly and fluent in English. When I asked why she wore glasses, she said, “Because they make me stand out.” Her glasses were just for show, but during the day she was a brilliant student majoring in aerospace engineering, and the glasses suited her personality perfectly. It was also the moment Joe discovered his love for women in glasses（笑笑）. So, here’s some advice from Joe to all the female members who are worried about not receiving many offers: Why not try wearing glasses? Not only could you appeal to male members who are glasses enthusiasts like the person who asked the question, but you might even awaken a new appreciation for women in glasses in someone like Joe! Come to think of it, Ryesha-chan was adorable. I wonder if she’s studying hard and doing well.

I’m a male member, Date◎Yume. I neither particularly like nor dislike women who wear glasses. When I was younger, I didn’t wear glasses, so I used to think, “It must be inconvenient for people who wear them.” But then, once I passed 40, letters started looking blurry and unreadable in the dark. I went to an eye doctor and was told I was developing presbyopia. (Tears.) After turning 50, I needed glasses whenever I read or wrote documents, and they’ve been an absolute necessity ever since. Now that I’m over 60, to be perfectly honest, I can’t see the condition of the women I date—their skin or fine lines—very clearly. Considering that the eyesight of women who wear glasses also gradually declines, I wonder if there really are that many whose vision is perfectly focused. So I’ve started thinking, on my own, that men with the so-called fine lines might find women who wear glasses a good target, since they can hide things a little. (LOL)

I suspect that many of the women who come in for interviews at dating clubs wear contact lenses instead. Occasionally, a woman who wears glasses does come in, but we often have her take them off for the photos. I feel bad for people with a glasses fetish, but many women look better without their glasses. Also, when we use a flash or studio lighting, glasses reflect the light, which makes photographing them very difficult. That may have something to do with it as well. But in the first place, not many people come in wearing glasses.

I’m in my 30s and a new member. I totally get being into glasses—I’m the same way. However, since women tend to be more popular without glasses, most of the girls wear contacts. So I sometimes ask a girl who wears contacts, “Do you usually wear glasses?” and request that she wear them next time.
